DB7 Vantage Volante

Since 1999, the DB7 Volante has been at the top of the GT class. With power and performance, an elegant shape, and luxurious coachwork, the DB7 Volante offers an extraordinary ownership experience.

The DB7 Volante shares the basic drivetrain with the DB7 Coupe. Aston Martin's 420bhp all aluminum 6.0L V12 provides the motivation. Three transmission choices are available, including a traditional 6-speed manual, a full automatic, and a Touchtronic semi-automatic option. Touchtronic cars are controlled via either a shiftable automatic gearshift, or via buttons incorporated into the steering wheel.

Trim and paint choices are also carried over from the DB7 Coupe, with customers able to choose between a number of standard paint and leather colors. Customers may also elect to build a car to their specifications, selecting a paint color of their choice as well as trimming the car to their liking.

Performance of the Volante is remarkable with a top speed of over 180mph. Seat of the pants 'power' in the real world environment has most to do with torque. The DB7 Volante is not difficult to keep within the power band. In fact, 85% of the engine's torque is available below 1,500 rpm. This results in a nice, flat torque curve throughout the rpm band. On today's streets this means tractable, usable power and a more enjoyable driving experience.

A number of options are available for both the Coupe and Volante, perhaps the most popular being the Sport Exhaust system. A 19" Ian Callum designed wheel package is available, as are different wood interior choices, sport grilles, sill plaques, boot covers, painted calipers, wind deflectors, and a series of other accessories.

The DB7 Volante is a truly special vehicle, bred to offer an altogether satisfying ownership experience. Along with the unique level of hand-craftsmanship comes power and performance that defines fine grand touring. The DB7 Volante provides blistering performance, but in a sophisticated, elegant package.
