V8 Vantage
The AMV8 Vantage is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. in 2005. Introduced at the Detroit Auto Show as a concept in 2003, the AMV8 Vantage will round out the Aston Martin range to three models, including the DB9 and V12 Vanquish.
Although still hand assembled and featuring the performance, styling, and interior refinement of all previous Astons, the AMV8 Vantage will be made in quantities that will allow more enthusiasts access to this world-class brand. Construction will be based at a new state-of-the-art facility in Gaydon, England.
Clearly one of the most well penned designs to hit paper, the car formerly known as AM305 will feature an all aluminum 4.3L V8. Performance figures have not been published, but we expect this new engine to produce over 400bhp.
Using the new VH Platform Technology of the DB9, new levels of structural strength, torsional rigidity, weight savings, and impact resistance are available for the AMV8 chassis. Much of the composite technology used to develop the V12 Vanquish will be incorporated into the V8 Vantage, as well as future Aston Martin models.
The AMV8 Vantage will, of course, be hand-built by caring, experienced craftsmen to each customer's specifications. This special, individual care taken with each car is a defining value of owning an Aston Martin, and the AMV8 Vantage will bring this to more customers than ever, when released.
A series of new standard paint colors as well as a myriad of leather choices will be available. As is typical of preceding Aston Martin models, owners will have the option of selecting non-standard paint colors and trimming their vehicles as they'd like.
The AMV8 Vantage will bring Aston Martin's core values of performance, individuality, craftsmanship, and technological excellence to more U.S. customers than ever, starting in 2005.
