Vanquish

The V12 Vanquish has received accolades the world over since its introduction in 2001. Truly one of the finest road cars to ever be produced, the V12 Vanquish benefits from a skillful combination of old-world craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology. Available to a select few and desired by many, this model represents the direction of things to come from Aston Martin.

Many of the engineering and build techniques used in crafting the Vanquish have never been seen before on 'production' vehicles, previously being available only on purpose built racecars:

The chassis, for example, is based on a sophisticated carbon fiber and extruded aluminum structure that is bonded together to form a monocoque safety cell. The 'A' pillar is constructed by a patented new technique entirely in carbon fiber. The remaining body structure and panels are 'super-plastic formed' aluminum, all hand-tailored for a perfect fit. Perfecting the use of these materials results in an incredibly strong, light structure that many of our customers describe as the most stable and communicative at speed that they've ever experienced.

The drive train is equally advanced, featuring an updated version of Aston Martin's 6.0L 48V aluminum V12 engine. This unit produces 460 bhp and over 400 lbs/ft of torque. Power is transmitted through a 6-speed transmission with 'paddle shift' control and fly-by-wire throttle.

The entire vehicle is handcrafted using the finest materials available. Bridge of Weir leather hides from Scotland are carefully selected, and a Linn Audio system (now standard) provides some of the finest sound available in any vehicle. Vanquish paintwork remains a hallmark of the Aston Martin brand, still applied by hand and hand rubbed to a level of quality and depth perhaps unique among modern manufacturers.
