Built to commemorate the 50th year of Aston Martin-Zagato partnership, which started with the legendary DB4 GT Zagato, the 2013 Aston Martin V12 Zagato Vantage embraces the future of Aston Martin and Zagato with a nod to their historic past. Based on the V12 Vantage, a small team, including veterans of the One-77 project, designed the V12 Zagato at the Aston Martin Design Studios in Gaydon.
The elegant aluminum and carbon fiber body was designed with both computer-aided design and clay models; not only is the V12 Zagato stunning, but aerodynamically optimized for the track. The V12 retains the classic Zagato cues; the double-bubble roof, short body over hangs, and flared haunches. Each of these stunning cars were meticulously built, with even the paint requiring over 100 hours to produce the dazzling finish. Inside finds more handcrafted touches in the hand stitched Zagato logos in the headrests, and quilted seats and door panels.
Although originally conceived for the track, after numerous successes in multiple races customer interest grew to such that Aston produced 61 (44 in left hand drive) for road use. These road cars retained many of the racing features, including a 120 liter endurance fuel tank, carbon-ceramic brakes, and significant weight saving over the Vantage V12. Sitting on race-tuned double-wishbone suspension and powered by the roaring 6.0 liter V12 producing 510 horsepower, the V12 Zagato is not just a pretty face.
This Zagato Vantage on offer has only 253 one owner miles from new, and has been legally imported and federalized for road use here in the United States. Special ordered in Fiamma Red, over a Bitter Chocolate interior, this Zagato is heavily optioned, and has many special "Q" features to set this one apart from the other 61 cars.
Rear Spoiler finished in Body Color, Soft Feel Bitter Chocolate Interior Fittings, Stone Chip Protection Film, Bitter Chocolate Alcantara Steering Wheel, Bitter Chocolate Leather Column Cowling, Bitter Chocolate Seat Belts, Fire Extinguisher, and Front and Rear Proximity Cameras.
