Happy Holidays everyone!

December 17, 2010

               I know this is late but I just wanted to wish all our great customers and friends a great holiday season.  Our 3rd floor is just about full for storage so if you are thinking of it now is the time to get your prized motorcar in here for a safe and comfortable winter nap.  Or, hit us up for some snow tires to enjoy the upcoming snow in style.

            We do have some new ideas and services coming from Aston Martin of New England for 2011 and beyond so please keep checking back.  We are looking to improve our website and its services as well.  If you haven’t already check out our Facebook page we post most of our cool photos of what goes on inside the shop there for now;

Thanks for a great year and hope to see you all soon.  Stay tuned for details on our annual spring clinic; hopefully those warm thoughts will get you through this crazy bitter cold.

Drive safe and spirited -

Mr. L. Well the obvious response is that you are not alone. It is embarrassing, annoying, and appaling that Aston's would be doing this. I apologize if you got the "shim" job done here and it still squeals, because usually our method will stop the squeal 85-90% of the time. Another apology but sometimes its the driver and the squeal will always be there or come back. I hope the latter is not the case and you are not a 2 foot driver or constantly riding the brakes like my grandpa. You actually have to drive the car moderately hard to properly bed-in the brakes. If you want to bring it in and we can do our version of a "brake squeal" job that should take no long than 2 hours then we can see how bad the squeal is, who knows, we just might be able to fix it. As for a carbon ceramic upgrade, I don't believe its possible and even if it was, it would involve a new set of bigger 20 inch wheels to fit the larger calipers and rotors. Hope this helps - Tom

Tom I follow your comments and appreciate your knowledge and passion for the brand. I have a question/problem for which if I cannot answer/solve, will push me to dispense of my 09 DB9 ! I HATE the brake squeal, I have had the "shims" placed but same result. It is most embarssing to drive up to a stop light and all stare for the wrong reasons.....BRAKE SQUEAL....eeek what do you / other owners suggest, I am willing to bear the expense of ceramic conversion( if at all possible). help michael L
