Details

A heavily optioned 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS finished in GT Silver Metallic, over a Black leather and Alcantara interior.  Only 1812 carefully driven miles from new.

In 2011 Porsche launched a completely new platform and design for its fabled 911 model, internally called the 991.  This is only the third time Porsche has completely revamped its 911 model since 1964.

The new 991 GT3 Rs was first shown at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show to great fanfare, the GT3 RS had many improvements, and features that differentiated it from the current 991 GT3 model.  The most notable features are the vents cut into the tops of the fenders above the front wheels.  The rear fenders now have inlets that feed air to the 4.0 liter engine similar to the 991 Turbos.

Other subtle differences between the GT3 and the GT3 RS include the 500 horsepower 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine, carbon seats lifted from the 918 Spyder, the use of magnesium for the roof, and a factory roll cage, among many other details.

The 4.0 liter power plant is matched with Porsche’s PDK paddle shift transmission and the driveline features Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus, and Porsche Rear Axle steering.
