Ferrari 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello

2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello

After 23 years of building a succession of successful mid-engine V-12 2 seater GT cars, Ferrari decided to return to their roots by building a front engined, 2 seat GT halo car. Recalling the glorious 365 GTB/4 “Daytona,” the 550 Maranello premiered a screaming V-12 in an handsomely understated body by Pinninfarina. Introduced in 1996, the 550 Maranello with its 6-Speed Gearbox, is still highly sought-after today.

The new naturally aspirated 5.5 liter V-12 produced a whopping 478 hp at 7,000 rpm and 419 lb·ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. Matched to a 6-speed manual transmission, mounted just in front of the limited slip differential, the 550 dispatched 0-60 times at a reported 4.4 seconds, with reported top speed of 199 mph.

The 550 we have to offer is an elegant Argento (Silver) over a Tan leather interior.  In August of 2018 we performed an annual service, and installed a fresh battery. A fresh belt service was just completed back in June of 2016, by our factory trained Ferrari technician, and a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed Sept., of 2017. We have all of the service records, and this 550 comes complete with all of its manuals and keys, including the red key fob.
