Born from the indomitable Delta S4, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v didn’t just share its name with the Group B monster. Featuring a permanent 4WD system based directly on the S4, the Integrale soon became Lancia’s go-to for rallying, and with the end of Group B, the Delta proved worthy of going toe-to-toe with the Group A cars, winning 9 of 13 championship races, bring home for Lancia the 1987 Championship for Manufacturers, and the Championship for Drivers in the hands of Juha Kankkunen.
By 1989, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale was a dominating force in rallying, and Lancia kept improving the stock with the HF 16v. A better breathing head with 4 vavles per cylinder, Garret T3 Turbo, and 47% front/ 53% rear torque split from the Ferguson viscous center differential, added up to a formidable little hot hatch. Pumping out 200 bhp and 220 lb/ft of torque, the little HF Integrale could sprint to 60mph in under 6 seconds.
This 1991 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v was sold new in Japan, and stayed there until 2015, when it made the trek to Ontario. Service records on this car date back to 2009, and major work done includes new water pump, starter, and clutch in 2013, a timing belt in 2015, and front outer tie-rods and alignment in 2016, along with its regular scheduled maintenance in 2016.
Well optioned for the time, this Delta came with ABS, perforated leather upholstery, front power windows, and AC. A handful of tasteful modifications have also been done, including Eibach springs, Koni struts, strut braces, a turbo timer, and a short shifter.
Import paperwork included.
