A 1962 Mercedes Benz 300SL finished in Mercedes Benz (050) White, over a Black interior, carpets, and Black soft top. This is a 3 owner, fully documented, fully sorted, 78000 mile iron block, disc brake Roadster which requires nothing to be enjoyed.
Chassis Number: 19804210002924
Engine Number: 002979
This is a matching numbers Roadster, which still retains its original colors of Mercedes (050) White paint, over a Black interior, and finished off with a Black convertible top. With only one repaint in its original color of (050), the paintwork looks like the day it was refinished, and the bumpers, grill, and bright work are perfectly in-line with the rest of the car. A new top was installed at some point, and still looks new, with the rear window showing no signs of discoloring or cracking. Naturally all of the glass (windshield and door glass) is also outstanding. The interior was meticulously restored back in 1983, and the records show the seats and dash top were trimmed using Mercedes Benz factory leather. The carpets were also replaced at this time using factory carpets. The door panels, center console, and rocker panels are original, and have been re-dyed and still look great to this day.
This 300SL Roadster has a binder full of service receipts going back to 1969, and has been serviced religiously by its three owners. The service records show that the best 300SL specialists in the country have been looking after this car. The last big recent service was completed by world renowned Mercedes Benz 300SL specialist Paul Russel and Company in 2016. This 300SL Roadster comes complete with a tool roll, and spare tire jack.
